Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eduardo Vieira started the match with the kick off. André Campos hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When Abel Assunção fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zebral's protests and gave Abel Assunção a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo Sá in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filipe Santos saved Sobreiro FC from getting behind. After 16 played minutes Sobreiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Figueiredo. Eduardo Sá's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filipe Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Eduardo Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduardo Sá went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Eduardo Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zebral's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Sá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 played minutes Sobreiro FC got a freekick which was hit by André Campos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Vieira in the 38th minute of play forced Sobreiro FC's goalkeeper Filipe Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Nuno Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sobreiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino Santarém breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Armando Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Diamantino Santarém didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sobreiro FC. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Antunes was the one to do the kick off. Diamantino Santarém showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Antunes in the 53rd minute of the match. Diamantino Santarém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Eduardo Sá blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filipe Santos having to make a save. Eduardo Vieira might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filipe Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Vieira ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Marques during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The goalkeeper, Filipe Santos, was totally fooled by Zebral's Pedro Cardoso, who 69 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Eduardo Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eduardo Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Filipe Santos made a huge save. If Nuno Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Zebral walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
