In the 16th minute, Lobeira FC's Mário Pinheiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alfredo Monteiro. Alfredo Monteiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Alfredo Monteiro made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Bento Assunção sent off a good shot on target. Alfredo Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Pinheiro in the 21st minute of the match. If Gonçalo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the game, SC Ermida's Armando Freitas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rui Ribeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Alfredo Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Gaspar in the 28th minute of play. Gonçalo Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Augusto Veiga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Ermida's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lobeira FC the free kick. The supporters of Lobeira FC booed when SC Ermida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 played minutes Lobeira FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Valente. Pedro Jesus's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Alfredo Monteiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 44th minute Gonçalo Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rui Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lobeira FC's protests and gave Rui Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Armando Freitas made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Mário Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lobeira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 53 minutes into the game, Pedro Jesus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Alfredo Monteiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lobeira FC's Rui Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Freitas in the 63rd minute of play. Rui Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonçalo Carvalho got free with Rui Ribeiro in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Pedro Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Lobeira FC's Rodrigo Pinheiro got a free kick in the 80th minute. Armando Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
