Gustavo Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Alves in the 5th minute of the match. André Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Guerreiro went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in SC Varelas's zone, Cristiano Guerreiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Figueiredo came out of the goal and Cristiano Guerreiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás Abreu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Gustavo Cabral skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. André Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Gueifão went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 23 minutes into the match, Melhorada FC's Miguel Gueifão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Figueiredo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. André Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Gueifão went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 36 minutes into the match, Sandro Monteiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gustavo Cabral, 1-3. 44 minutes into the match, SC Varelas's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Gueifão came free, but André Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandro Monteiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Melhorada FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Abreu came free, but Gustavo Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute, João Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, SC Varelas's goalkeeper André Figueiredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Gueifão. Sandro Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Sandro Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, SC Varelas's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Guerreiro came free, but André Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Tomás Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Figueiredo was a little too slow when Cristiano Guerreiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-4. Melhorada FC's Gustavo Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Monteiro in the 77th minute of play. André Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Guerreiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Guerreiro in the 88th minute of play. André Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 92 minutes in the game, Cristiano Guerreiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without André Figueiredo having to interfere. Melhorada FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
