Simão Fontes took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Setúbal. Domingos Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Macedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. If Simão Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Minhocal FC's Domingos Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Cruz in the 46th minute of play forced Adagoi FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes, Gaspar Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Minhocal FC and the Adagoi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th minute, Gaspar Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Alexandre Macedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adagoi FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
