Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bento Pinto started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Campos got free with Sérgio Leão in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 4 minutes into the match, Jaime Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fábio Cabral. Rezende FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaime Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 7 played minutes Meceares got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Almeida. When António Costa fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rezende FC's protests and gave António Costa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rezende FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. António Costa hit a great ball. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rezende FC! In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Meceares. Duarte Queirós stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fábio Cabral. 0-2. Tomás Setúbal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fábio Cabral having to make a save. Tomás Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Meceares's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Pinto came free, but Sérgio Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Setúbal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rezende FC's Fábio Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Santos in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Bento Pinto fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sérgio Leão, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Meceares's Sérgio Leão got control of the ball when Joaquim Campos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eusébio Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fábio Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Tomás Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Rezende FC's zone, Tomás Setúbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Cabral came out of the goal and Tomás Setúbal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Fábio Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Duarte Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Meceares and the Rezende FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, one of Meceares:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Meceares. When Cristóvão Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meceares's protests and gave Cristóvão Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. Cristóvão Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Sérgio Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Campos in the 75th minute of play. Sérgio Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Campos in the 76th minute of the match. Jaime Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Cabral having to interfere. Fábio Cabral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Setúbal in the 83rd minute. If Joaquim Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fábio Cabral acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cristóvão Sousa. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Tomás Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meceares's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Setúbal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gonçalo Moniz charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Moniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 97 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rezende FC! In the 99th minute there was a penalty for Meceares. Duarte Queirós stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fábio Cabral. 1-3. When the match was over Meceares could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rezende FC throughout the match.
