Bento Pinto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. David Moutinho was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gonçalo Moniz. Fábio Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Afonso Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 52 minutes, Bento Pinto made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Massorra's David Moutinho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 57 minutes into the game, Bento Pinto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. David Moutinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alexandre Amaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Fábio Cabral made a huge save. Afonso Matos succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. David Moutinho came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Rezende FC's Bento Pinto. But to his dismay, Bento Pinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Rezende FC's zone, Alexandre Amaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Cabral came out of the goal and Alexandre Amaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Matos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Massorra's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Afonso Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Massorra's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonso Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Fábio Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Rezende FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alexandre Amaro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Américo Matias took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fábio Cabral. Fábio Cabral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Massorra players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rezende FC.
