An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Tavares in the 18th minute of play forced SC Pinho's goalkeeper Afonso Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mariano Marques came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the SC Almendras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Marques couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, SC Almendras's Daniel Campos got control of the ball when Ricardo Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Henriques, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Mariano Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Reis having to interfere. Ricardo Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Campos having to interfere. Vítor Pinheiro hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. SC Pinho's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gabriel Mendes in the 49th minute. At last the ball reached Rodrigo Branco at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of SC Almendras. 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Tavares was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of SC Pinho booed when SC Almendras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Humberto Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Tavares's late challenge caught a SC Pinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Tavares helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Humberto Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Pinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Henriques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Campos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, SC Almendras's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Andrade came free, but Daniel Campos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Almendras's Daniel Campos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Andrade in the 76th minute of play. Daniel Campos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Andrade's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. 82 minutes into the match, SC Almendras's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Andrade came free, but Daniel Campos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Vítor Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Ricardo Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Campos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, SC Almendras's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Henriques came free, but Daniel Campos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Andrade struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Daniel Campos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Pinho.
