Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Macedo started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Pedro Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joel Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Óscar Amaros short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got José Miranda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Joel Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. José Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Óscar Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Macedo in the 14th minute of play forced Valpacos FC's goalkeeper José Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Miranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Óscar Amaro in the 16th minute. Henrique Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Henriques in the 27th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuno Leiria during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th minute, Nuno Leiria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Azevedo having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Óscar Amaro got free with José Miranda in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Valpacos FC's Ricardo Aleixo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Valpacos FC's Nuno Carneiro got a free kick in the 36th minute. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Castro was the one to do the kick off. Xavier Henriques charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xavier Henriques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nuno Leiria tried in the 52nd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Henrique Azevedo a with quite unnecessary self made goal. After a rather tough play, Valpacos FC's Ricardo Aleixo got a free kick in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the game, one of Urmal FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Henrique Azevedo had in the 79thth minute some difficulties stopping Eusébio Fontes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Henrique Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusébio Fontes went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute of the match Eduardo Morais sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henrique Azevedo skillfully saved the ball. José Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Óscar Amaro in the 83rd minute of the match. After 85 minutes, Tomás Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valpacos FC and the Urmal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Urmal FC a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Miguel Moniz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Valpacos FC's José Miranda. 1-2. When Valpacos FC's Pedro Castro in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Urmal FC's goalie prevented a goal. Gaspar Henriques struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Henrique Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valpacos FC. After a defensive mix-up in Urmal FC's zone, Pedro Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Azevedo came out of the goal and Pedro Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Valpacos FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
