João Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Simões having to interfere. Emílio Trindade charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emílio Trindade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SC Lubagueira's Emílio Trindade got a free kick in the 6th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Lubagueira's zone, André Jesus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Simões came out of the goal and André Jesus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the game, André Jesus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. António Simões was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SC Lubagueira's António Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pinho in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, SC Lubagueira's goal looked a bit too open when André Jesus came free, but António Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th match minute, SC Lubagueira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pinto to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, João Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Burgaes's supporters rose to their feet, but João Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rafael Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, João Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Burgaes's supporters rose to their feet, but João Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Lubagueira's José Pinto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rui Domingues. That made the score 1-1 after 41 minutes of play. António Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Jesus's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Afonso Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Rui Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When João Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the SC Burgaes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Pinho couldn't finish the play. António Simões was a little too slow when André Jesus got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in SC Burgaes's zone, Afonso Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Domingues came out of the goal and Afonso Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Pereira in the 73rd minute of play forced SC Burgaes's goalkeeper Rui Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Pinho struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. António Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Burgaes. António Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Jesus in the 82nd minute of the match. SC Lubagueira's António Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Amaral in the 85th minute of play. Rafael Pereira might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Domingues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Pereira ran back to his position shaking his head. Rui Domingues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Veiga's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. SC Burgaes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
