Bruno Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th match minute, SC Estrica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Simões to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Resende took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cristiano Pinto. SC Estrica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The attack was good, but when Henrique Delgado in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Cristiano Pinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique Delgado's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Bruno Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Daniel Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Bruno Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fábio Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Daniel Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Henrique Delgado made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Henrique Delgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrique Delgado in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Pinto saved SC Estrica from getting behind. After a rather tough play, SC Estrica's Manuel Abreu got a free kick in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Henrique Delgado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Cristiano Pinto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 65th minute Fábio Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogério Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Balugais getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Rogério Coelho hit a great ball. If Fábio Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Branco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Bruno Freitas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Daniel Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When SC Estrica's Fábio Carvalho in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Balugais's goalie prevented a goal. SC Estrica's Cristiano Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Delgado in the 76th minute of play. In the 84th minute Manuel Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Borba charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Carvalho in the 86th minute of play forced SC Balugais's goalkeeper Bruno Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fábio Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Freitas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. If Fábio Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Carvalho in the 96th minute of play forced SC Balugais's goalkeeper Bruno Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
