After having played for 3 minutes, Rogério Santarém managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachouca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Santarém was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Presequeda's goalkeeper Simão Ferreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogério Santarém. If Miguel Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16thth minute of the game Simão Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachouca's Afonso Leiria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rogério Santarém in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Simão Ferreira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Cachouca's zone, Miguel Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Leiria came out of the goal and Miguel Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simão Ferreira made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Rogério Santarém sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute of the match, Rogério Santarém got a very nice opportunity to score, but Simão Ferreira was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 42 minutes into the match, Miguel Vale had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Leiria. Cachouca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Vale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Cachouca getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Afonso Anjos hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cachouca's zone, Simão Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Leiria came out of the goal and Simão Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simão Mendes was the one to do the kick off. When Miguel Vale came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Presequeda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Vale couldn't finish the play. The referee gave Cachouca a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Domingos Martins, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Presequeda's Simão Ferreira. 2-1. After having played for 71 minutes, Gil Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Simão Mendes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simão Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cachouca fans cheered their team off the field, for while Presequeda had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
