The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luís Azevedo's late challenge caught a SC Vilarelho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ribeira's Luís Azevedo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The SC Vilarelho players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
