Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) A collision led to Contencas FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Pedro Moniz hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Contencas FC's Vasco Domingues got a free kick in the 5th minute. Paulo Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Rocha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th minute, Paulo Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Humberto Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almada FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duarte Anjos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th minute, Almada FC's Luís Vale dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Afonso Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Delgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The supporters of Almada FC booed when Contencas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Duarte Anjos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Cristiano Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Contencas FC's protests and gave Cristiano Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34thth minute of the game Lúcio Delgado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almada FC's Afonso Paiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mariano Amaro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Duarte Anjos firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mário Maia might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duarte Anjos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mário Maia ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vasco Domingues to strike the kick off in the second half. Amílcar Freitas's late challenge caught a Almada FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amílcar Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. Amílcar Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute of the match Humberto Fontes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duarte Anjos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Lúcio Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasco Domingues might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonso Paiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vasco Domingues ran back to his position shaking his head. Mariano Amaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duarte Anjos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Amaro ran back to his position shaking his head. Duarte Anjos came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Almada FC's Mariano Amaro. But to his dismay, Mariano Amaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When Mariano Amaro came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Almada FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Amaro couldn't finish the play. Almada FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
