Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fábio Mota started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Areias FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Mota came free, but Manuel Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Augusto Lima cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tomás Barbosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Areias FC booed when SC Larangeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the game's 12th minute Areias FC's Miguel Moreira took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Tomás Barbosa and thus the score was 0-2. Manuel Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, David Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Areias FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in SC Larangeira's zone, David Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Barbosa came out of the goal and David Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Lima in the 22nd minute of the match. Vasco Amorim hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If David Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Marco Simões fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Larangeira's protests and gave Marco Simões a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Areias FC booed when SC Larangeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 played minutes, Areias FC's Miguel Moreira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tomás Barbosa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Areias FC reached it. The audience was convinced that Augusto Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Barbosa was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Augusto Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th match minute, SC Larangeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Areias FC's Manuel Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Brás in the 39th minute of play. Tomás Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Lima in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Augusto Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Mário Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Areias FC's Miguel Moreira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Larangeira. José Gueifão charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Gueifão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Larangeira! Areias FC's Henrique Silva suffered a concussion in the 69th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 70 played minutes SC Larangeira got a freekick which was hit by Mário Pereira. Tomás Barbosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Lima went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 76 minutes into the match, SC Larangeira's Álvaro Brás sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Moreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute Fábio Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Álvaro Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Barbosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. David Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Tomás Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Larangeira fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Areias FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
