In the 43rd minute SC Alge were awarded a corner. Amílcar Guerreiro went to the cornerflag to take it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Ricardo Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Castro in the 65th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Moura in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Dantas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th match minute, SC Alge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute Jorge Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Bessa didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SC Alge's Carlos Bessa shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Ricardo Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
