Jorge Luzs short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Joaquim Guarda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 58thth minute of the game Duarte Melo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vermil FC's Joaquim Guarda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Roge fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Roge's Jorge Luz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Jorge Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Azevedo during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Roge booed when Vermil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by José Dantas from long distance, 73 minutes into the match, got Joaquim Guarda's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Roge had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
