If Emílio Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, Vaiamonte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Correia came free, but Armindo Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristóvão Simões charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóvão Simões the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristóvão Simões hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Bruno Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sendim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armindo Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Correia in the 21st minute of the match. Sendim FC's Tiago Moutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Sendim FC from getting a goal against them. Henrique Antunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiago Moutinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrique Antunes ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Sendim FC's Tiago Moutinho got control of the ball when Cândido Alves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tiago Moutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Antunes in the 40th minute of play. Bruno Paiva struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Armindo Faro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sendim FC. Sendim FC's Emílio Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Bruno Paiva was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Sendim FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Cândido Alves came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Vaiamonte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cândido Alves couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cândido Alves in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Moutinho saved Sendim FC from getting behind. After having played for 67 minutes, Cândido Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaiamonte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cândido Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Armindo Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Sendim FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Gaspar. Viriato Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Sendim FC booed when Vaiamonte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cândido Alves in the 84th minute of play forced Sendim FC's goalkeeper Tiago Moutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sendim FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
