Simão Dantas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Pevido FC's Fábio Nunes got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 9 played minutes Pevido FC got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Pinheiro. 9 minutes into the match, Cercio FC's Simão Dantas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cristiano Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Hélder Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Ribeiro. Pevido FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélder Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Fernando Cunha made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Adelino Baptista sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Américo Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Américo Paiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Américo Paiva ran back to his position shaking his head. If Américo Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Marco Bessa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Ribeiro was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Cristiano Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Cunha in the 78th minute of play.
