Pevido FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Óscar Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Lourenço Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristiano Ribeiro having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Óscar Neto during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lourenço Costa to make the kick off. Lourenço Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The SC Esqueiros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. SC Esqueiros were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
