Casaldelo FC's Augusto Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Vaz's late challenge caught a Casaldelo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Vaz helped the player get up and apologised. Augusto Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Manuel Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Renda FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Alexandre Dias hit a great ball. If Filipe Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Dias in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Casaldelo FC's Francisco Fontes got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Alexandre Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Augusto Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casaldelo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Dias in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Humberto Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Renda FC's Alexandre Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Casaldelo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Alexandre Dias scored to the left of an out of position Cristiano Magalhães, making the score, 1-0. Renda FC's Filipe Delgado was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 33rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After some careless play in the Renda FC defense, Pedro Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Gomes. The Renda FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Gomes should have stopped the shot. Pedro Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Fontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Gomes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Francisco Fontes hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Filipe Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Dias struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Cristiano Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Renda FC. After 70 minutes, Luís Esteves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Renda FC and the Casaldelo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Casaldelo FC's Humberto Luz got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Alexandre Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Delgado in the 76th minute of play forced Casaldelo FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alexandre Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Renda FC booed when Casaldelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Gueifão hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After taking down the ball on Renda FC's corner Diogo Cardoso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristiano Magalhães quite easily take care of the ball. Renda FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
