Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vítor Leite took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Jacinto Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Carapinheira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Gafanhao getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Américo Santos hit a great ball. Bento Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Cândido Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Leite in the 12th minute of play forced Carapinheira's goalkeeper Augusto Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Gafanhao's Xavier Baptista got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gafanhao's goalkeeper Cândido Moutinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cândido Moutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Pacheco in the 21st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Neto during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Eduardo Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bento Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Moura succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 26th playminute. Augusto Borba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Moura in the 30th minute. Augusto Borba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 35 played minutes Carapinheira got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Gomes. Augusto Borba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Leite in the 38th minute of the match. Rodrigo Alves lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Carapinheira fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Augusto Borba had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Xavier Baptista's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 47th minute, Afonso Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Pacheco to make the kick off. Luís Pacheco took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cândido Moutinho. Cândido Moutinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 56th minute, Vítor Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augusto Borba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Moura in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Afonso Moura made a precise shot to the right of Augusto Borba. Carapinheira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After having played for 67 minutes, Vítor Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gafanhao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Afonso Moura blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augusto Borba having to make a save. André Moura charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Moura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute Luís Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Moutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute Vítor Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Borba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Magalhães hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Luís Pacheco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Bento Melo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carapinheira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gafanhao the free kick. In the 91st match minute, Carapinheira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bento Melo to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gafanhao had won after a very even match.
