Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Abel Neves took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Álvaro Leite came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the SC Benavente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Leite couldn't finish the play. Fernando Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Neves in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to SC Benavente getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ricardo Domingues hit a great ball. João Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Domingues during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Benavente getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Basílio Domingues hit a great ball. A hard shot by Bruno Brito from long distance, 15 minutes into the match, got Fernando Alves's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. João Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Basílio Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Alves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. When SC Benavente's Eusébio Neto in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Senande's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Neto in the 33rd minute of play forced SC Senande's goalkeeper Sandro Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Basílio Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Nuno Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Senande's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Basílio Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 46 in the game by Basílio Amaral from a close distance when the talented Fernando Alves managed to make a qualified save. SC Benavente's players were relieved. Basílio Domingues hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusébio Neto to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Vieira during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, SC Senande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Vieira to maneuver through the defense. Eusébio Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sandro Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, SC Benavente's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Amaral came free, but Fernando Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Benavente's Ricardo Domingues got a free kick in the 67th minute. Eusébio Neto struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Sandro Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Benavente. Eusébio Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Pires having to interfere. Eusébio Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
