After having played for 11 minutes, David Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferragudo's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Domingues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ricardo Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, SC Pincaes's Humberto Simões got control of the ball when David Domingues tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ferragudo's goalkeeper André Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Manuel Santos put in a rough tackle. In the 25th minute there was a penalty for SC Pincaes. Daniel Nogueira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving André Branco. 0-1. The supporters of Ferragudo booed when SC Pincaes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Delgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Humberto Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th match minute, SC Pincaes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Brás to maneuver through the defense. When David Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Ferragudo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Domingues couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute Jacinto Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Jacinto Cruz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ferragudo's André Branco. André Branco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joel Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Delgado to make the kick off. When Daniel Nogueira fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Pincaes's protests and gave Daniel Nogueira a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes SC Pincaes got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Nogueira. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Pincaes's goalkeeper Humberto Simões, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in SC Pincaes's zone, Carlos Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Simões came out of the goal and Carlos Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Óscar Domingues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Simões. SC Pincaes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Óscar Domingues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Humberto Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Domingues in the 92nd minute of the match. The SC Pincaes players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
