An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Henriques in the 17th minute of play forced Coelheira's goalkeeper Adelino Setúbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gil Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Setúbal having to interfere. With a little luck, Gaia's Sérgio Aleixo got control of the ball when João Bessa tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Henriques in the 21st minute of play forced Coelheira's goalkeeper Adelino Setúbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Gaia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 48 minutes into the match, Coelheira's João Paiva shot a high long ball. Gaia's goalkeeper was lucky when the ball hit the right post and out. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Henriques was the one to do the kick off. Adelino Setúbal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Henriques in the 55th minute of the match. Sérgio Aleixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Adelino Setúbal made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Gil Reis sent off a good shot on target. Sérgio Aleixo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Bessa in the 61st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, João Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Gaia's Afonso Moutinho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Daniel Henriques received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adelino Setúbal came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Henriques slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 74th minute. Adelino Setúbal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaia. 93 minutes into the match, Coelheira's goalkeeper Adelino Setúbal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gil Reis. The Gaia players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Coelheira from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
