After a rather tough play, SC Murgido's Pedro Nascimento got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Emanuel Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Veral's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raul Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Hélder Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 played minutes SC Veral got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Vale. A collision led to SC Veral getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Alfredo Matias hit a great ball. If Daniel Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélder Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Matias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amadeu Gomes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Amadeu Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Matias in the 31st minute of play. Cristiano Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Ferreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hélder Leite having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Ferreira to make the kick off. Hélder Leite came out of the goal and Raul Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Cristiano Matias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Veral's Amadeu Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Amaro in the 69th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Raul Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Raul Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot.
