Afonso Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 3 minutes into the match, SC Veral's Raul Silva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Pires narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Rodrigo Vale fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esculca FC's protests and gave Rodrigo Vale a yellow card for diving instead. Fernando Pires didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raul Silva went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Alves in the 13th minute of play forced SC Veral's goalkeeper Amadeu Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Esculca FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Sebastião Almeida hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes, SC Veral's Carlos Leão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fernando Pires came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Veral reached it. After a rather tough play, Esculca FC's André Ferreira got a free kick in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Lisboa in the 45th minute of play forced SC Veral's goalkeeper Amadeu Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Veral's Emanuel Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Emanuel Ferreira made the kick off in the second half. Cristóvão Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Raul Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Veral fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Cristóvão Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, SC Veral's goalkeeper Amadeu Gomes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Lisboa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Silva in the 63rd minute of play forced Esculca FC's goalkeeper Fernando Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Lucas Lisboa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Miguel Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Lucas Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Amadeu Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristóvão Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Veral's Miguel Vale got a free kick in the 74th minute. Amadeu Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Alves in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute Emanuel Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rodrigo Vale was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. After 83 played minutes Esculca FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Vale. Alfredo Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Veral's Raul Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Esculca FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Veral.
