Tiago Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Hugo Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tiago Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Amorim in the 21st minute of play forced SC Barata's goalkeeper António Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Emanuel Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Viegas's Hugo Brás proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save SC Viegas from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Emanuel Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Viegas's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Nuno Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Torres to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristiano Viegas struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Hugo Brás didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Barata. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st match minute, SC Barata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Matias to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Brás showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Viegas in the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, SC Viegas's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Torres came free, but Hugo Brás reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Amorim in the 82nd minute of play. Miguel Costa's late challenge caught a SC Viegas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Costa helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 played minutes SC Barata got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Baptista. António Mota was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from David Delgado. Tiago Torres scored 1-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugo Brás, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SC Viegas's Carlos Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Viegas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Barata.
