Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Quintas's Diamantino Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eusébio Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Catarino Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, SC Magdalena's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alfredo Assunção fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Alfredo Assunção took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sérgio Ferro. Sérgio Ferro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Joaquim Borba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eusébio Alves was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Eusébio Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Américo Miranda was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. SC Quintas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Américo Miranda in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio Ferro saved SC Magdalena from getting behind. Alfredo Assunção who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Sérgio Ferro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, SC Magdalena's Miguel Luz got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute SC Quintas were awarded a corner. Daniel Viegas went to the cornerflag to take it. Américo Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Américo Miranda to strike the kick off in the second half. If Alfredo Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Américo Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute Américo Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Ferro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sérgio Ferro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Assunção, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Alfredo Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Américo Miranda in the 78th minute of play forced SC Magdalena's goalkeeper Sérgio Ferro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Joaquim Borba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Magdalena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Borba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84thth minute of the game Alfredo Assunção who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Magdalena's Sérgio Ferro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfredo Assunção struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Sérgio Ferro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Quintas. Sérgio Ferro came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Quintas's Américo Miranda. But to his dismay, Américo Miranda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Alfredo Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Sérgio Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, SC Quintas's Alfredo Assunção sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sérgio Ferro narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
