After a defensive mix-up in Travassinho FC's zone, Hélder Pedroso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Leal came out of the goal and Hélder Pedroso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Travassinho FC's goalkeeper Abel Leal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gustavo Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Moniz having to interfere. Adolfo Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Pazide's Cândido Moniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Pacheco in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Adolfo Borba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Moniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bento Abreu during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Pazide's Bento Abreu got a free kick in the 40th minute.
