Murzeleira FC's Viriato Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Murzeleira FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Triana FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Francisco Moniz hit a great ball. Américo Morais's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sandro Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Sandro Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Mota in the 16th minute of play. Américo Morais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Sandro Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Mota struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Sandro Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murzeleira FC. If Jorge Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 played minutes Triana FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Moniz. In the 33rdth minute of the game Américo Morais who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Triana FC's Sandro Barbosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jorge Amaro came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Triana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Amaro couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Murzeleira FC's Viriato Paiva got control of the ball when Joaquim Maia tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Jorge Amaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Triana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Amaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viriato Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Amaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Viriato Paiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Amaro ran back to his position shaking his head. Viriato Paiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Amaro in the 47th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim Maia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Amaro struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Viriato Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Triana FC. When André Cunha was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. 70 minutes into the match, Triana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Mota came free, but Sandro Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Jorge Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Murzeleira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 76th match minute, Triana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. Américo Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Barbosa having to interfere. Joaquim Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandro Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Mota in the 87th minute of play. If Américo Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Jorge Mota got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Américo Morais got free with Sandro Barbosa in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Murzeleira FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Triana FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
