The referee ignored Bogalhas's protests and gave Afonso Leal a yellow card for diving instead. Afonso Leal hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Delgado in the 46th minute of play forced Corticada FC's goalkeeper Gil Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The supporters of Bogalhas booed when Corticada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Rafael Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gil Pires made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Vaz in the 60th minute. After 92 played minutes Bogalhas got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Torres. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Matos in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gil Matias saved Bogalhas from getting behind. Gil Matias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Matos in the 96th minute of play. Adolfo Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corticada FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
