The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Domingos Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Cristiano Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Torrego FC! Adolfo Gueifão went to the wrong direction when Jaime Morais was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to Torrego FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Sérgio Vaz hit a great ball. Cristiano Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Emílio Neves came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Bucellas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio Neves couldn't finish the play. Torrego FC's Adolfo Gueifão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Resende in the 24th minute of play. If Sérgio Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes Bucellas FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Fonseca. Cristiano Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristóvão Leão's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Gabriel Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After having played for 33 minutes, Cristóvão Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torrego FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristóvão Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Torrego FC's Adolfo Gueifão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Torrego FC from getting a goal against them. When Hélder Resende came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Bucellas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Resende couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Leão in the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hélder Resende stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sérgio Vaz hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Cristiano Almeida made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Domingos Almeida sent off a good shot on target. Emílio Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Gueifão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emílio Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Neves in the 69th minute of play forced Torrego FC's goalkeeper Adolfo Gueifão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Jaime Morais sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adolfo Gueifão skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Resende in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Gueifão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hélder Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
