Oliveira Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Paiva having to interfere. Malaqueijo FC's Sandro Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rui Assunção didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandro Barbosa went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Adelino Gaspar scored 1-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquim Paiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gil Amaral made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Amaral in the 54th minute of play forced Zouparria FC's goalkeeper Rui Assunção to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Malaqueijo FC's Joaquim Paiva got control of the ball when Oliveira Leite tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rui Assunção showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Barbosa in the 63rd minute of play forced Zouparria FC's goalkeeper Rui Assunção to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sandro Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Gaspar in the 67th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Oliveira Leite got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rui Assunção showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gil Amaral in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Assunção prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the game, Mariano Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zouparria FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malaqueijo FC the free kick. The supporters of Malaqueijo FC booed when Zouparria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the game, Malaqueijo FC's Gil Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rui Assunção made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Joaquim Paiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by António Leite in the 83rd minute. The supporters of Zouparria FC booed when Malaqueijo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adelino Gaspar in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Paiva saved Malaqueijo FC from getting behind. Oliveira Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Paiva having to interfere. In the 91st minute, one of Malaqueijo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Malaqueijo FC. Hélder Barbosa walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Malaqueijo FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
