The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Valqueira FC booed when SC Bravais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Carlos Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valqueira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Martins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernando Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Hélder Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Campos charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Campos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Lima got free with Gaspar Martins in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes into the match, Carlos Lima dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gaspar Martins, 0-2. In the 62nd minute, Fernando Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Fernando Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gaspar Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diogo Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Martins having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rogério Porto during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rogério Porto hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Ricardo Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Bravais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo Cunha in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hélder Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 98 minutes of play, SC Bravais's Fernando Freitas made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélder Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Valqueira FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
