Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lúcio Luz got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Canhoso FC's Francisco Pacheco got a free kick in the 2nd minute. The attack was good, but when Lúcio Luz in the 3rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Lúcio Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Nuno Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Covelos FC's Lúcio Luz saw an opening behind the goalie Nuno Fontes in the 12thth minute and tried to shoot past into the top right corner, but with great reflexes Nuno Fontes with one arm managed to save the shot in the last secound. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Antunes in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustavo Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, António Guarda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuno Fontes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lúcio Luz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. Covelos FC's Lúcio Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 35 played minutes, Canhoso FC's Joel Andrade shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacinto Cunha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Canhoso FC reached it. Emílio Sá's late challenge caught a Canhoso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emílio Sá helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, Covelos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Sá to maneuver through the defense. António Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jacinto Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Canhoso FC's Nuno Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Luz in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell António Guarda to make the kick off. Francisco Pacheco hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Luz in the 57th minute of play forced Canhoso FC's goalkeeper Nuno Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. António Guarda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Canhoso FC's Francisco Pacheco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacinto Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Lúcio Luz took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nuno Fontes. Nuno Fontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Borges during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 79 played minutes Covelos FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Borges. Afonso Torres was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Covelos FC booed when Canhoso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Pacheco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lúcio Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Canhoso FC's Nuno Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Luz in the 91st minute of play. If Nuno Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
