Olegueira FC's Cláudio Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Henriques in the 6th minute of play. Jaime Mota who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Cláudio Melo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Mota got free with Cláudio Melo in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaime Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Melo having to interfere. José Almeida came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Olegueira FC's Rodrigo Figueiredo. But to his dismay, Rodrigo Figueiredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vasco Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Melo having to interfere. If Jaime Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Assunção in the 32nd minute of the match. Gonçalo Assunção blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Almeida having to make a save. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vasco Henriques to strike the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, Rodrigo Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Gafanhoeira's Vasco Henriques got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Rodrigo Figueiredo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Almeida was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. A hard shot by Sandro Fernandes from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got José Almeida's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. José Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonçalo Assunção in the 83rd minute. A collision led to Olegueira FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Manuel Guarda hit a great ball. Sérgio Moniz hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see SC Gafanhoeira lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
