Emanuel Campos came out of the goal and Gonçalo Assunção tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the game, Rui Leiria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olegueira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Azurara the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Olegueira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Leiria to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes, Eusébio Maia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olegueira FC and the SC Azurara players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eusébio Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Cláudio Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Ferreira in the 22nd minute of the match. If Nuno Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Olegueira FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Delfim Castro hit a great ball. If Nuno Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. Emanuel Campos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olegueira FC. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Figueiredo to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Afonso Ferreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cláudio Melo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Olegueira FC's Cláudio Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Aleixo in the 59th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, SC Azurara's Nuno Aleixo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cláudio Melo. Cláudio Melo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Aleixo in the 67th minute of play forced Olegueira FC's goalkeeper Cláudio Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olegueira FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Nuno Aleixo scored to the left of an out of position Cláudio Melo, making the score, 0-3. A hard shot 88 in the game by Afonso Ferreira from a close distance when the talented Cláudio Melo managed to make a qualified save. Olegueira FC's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Figueiredo in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Campos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Azurara walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
