SC Armoniz's Vicente Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Brás in the 34th minute of play. When Paulo Morais fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montarroio FC's protests and gave Paulo Morais a yellow card for diving instead. 41 minutes into the game, Fernando Resende recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rui Fonseca. Fernando Resende showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Gustavo Coimbra was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 56 minutes, Fernando Resende made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Montarroio FC's Rui Fonseca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vítor Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Macedo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Coimbra in the 67th minute of play forced Montarroio FC's goalkeeper Rui Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Montarroio FC's Paulo Morais got his second yellow card of the match in the 67th minute. The referee ordered Paulo Morais off the ground. After a rather tough play, Montarroio FC's Paulo Morais got a free kick in the 68th minute. The supporters of SC Armoniz booed when Montarroio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Armoniz's Gustavo Coimbra got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rui Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Armoniz had won after a very even match.
