In the 5th minute of the game, Cristiano Ferro landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Gaspar during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 4 minutes into the game, one of Telhais FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Mário Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Telhais FC's Filipe Teixeira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind António Tavares. António Tavares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Luís Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Teixeira in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Adrao getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Pedro Marques hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Adrao's zone, Luís Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Tavares came out of the goal and Luís Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Filipe Teixeira fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a little luck, Adrao's António Tavares got control of the ball when Luís Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipe Teixeira got free with António Tavares in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mário Ramos struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Rodrigo Gueifão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Adrao. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Carlos Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Adrao's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Gueifão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Ramos was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Filipe Teixeira put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of António Tavares. António Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Teixeira in the 62nd minute of play. Adrao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Domingos Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 97 played minutes Adrao got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Marques. After recieving a nice pass, Telhais FC's Amadeu Trindade tried to score from far away in the 98th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
