SC Cartaxa's Fernando Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Andrade in the 7th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Paulo Macedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Pinho was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Amílcar Antunes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Resende having to make a save. In the 16th minute of the match, Paulo Carneiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nuno Resende saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fernando Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Andrade in the 17th minute of the match. Fernando Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A hard shot 26 in the game by Amílcar Antunes from a close distance when the talented Nuno Resende managed to make a qualified save. SC Seda's players were relieved. Amílcar Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Resende having to interfere. Nuno Resende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Carneiro in the 30th minute of play. Paulo Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulo Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When SC Seda's Rogério Andrade in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Cartaxa's goalie prevented a goal. Paulo Carneiro scored 1-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nuno Resende, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rogério Andrade struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Fernando Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Seda.

SC Cartaxa's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rogério Andrade 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Paulo Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raul Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute of the match Humberto Moniz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuno Resende skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of SC Seda:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Cartaxa:s goal. Paulo Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Paulo Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuno Resende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Antunes in the 95th minute of the match. Adelino Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Fernando Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Seda's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
