Vicente Cardoso's late challenge caught a Aguda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Cardoso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tomazes FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Vicente Cardoso hit a great ball. If Jaime Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diamantino Ferro scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simão Guerreiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joaquim Pinto in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nuno Simões, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 24 minutes of play, Aguda FC's Diamantino Ferro made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simão Guerreiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Aguda FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Rafael Tavares hit a great ball. Joaquim Pinto had several of the Aguda FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Nuno Simões as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Joaquim Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. António Lopes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Nuno Simões skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nuno Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. António Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Nuno Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aguda FC's Nuno Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Pinto in the 45th minute of play. Tomazes FC's Joaquim Pinto got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when António Lopes got free with Nuno Simões in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Aguda FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Pinto in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Simões saved Aguda FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Aguda FC's Óscar Fontes got a free kick in the 66th minute. António Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Simões having to interfere. Tomazes FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nuno Faria in the 72nd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Aguda FC's goalie and right to Vicente Cardoso. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Aguda FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Diamantino Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Guerreiro having to interfere. A collision led to Tomazes FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Eusébio Pinho hit a great ball. When Jaime Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Aguda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Moreira couldn't finish the play. Jaime Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Joaquim Pinto came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Tomazes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Pinto couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the match, Aguda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Pinto came free, but Nuno Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Tomazes FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Aguda FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Aguda FC.
