The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Pinheiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Pinheiro came out of the goal and André Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Martins might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Martins ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ancora had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
