Henrique Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Raul Lisboa made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Pocilgais's Viriato Henriques got a free kick in the 12th minute. Cornalheira's Henrique Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Cornalheira booed when Pocilgais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Pocilgais getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Viriato Henriques hit a great ball. André Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Henrique Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cornalheira's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raul Lisboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Fontes during the 33rd minute. Cornalheira's Francisco Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Borges in the 67th minute of play. Gabriel Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Macedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. When Gabriel Borges came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Pocilgais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Borges couldn't finish the play. Raul Lisboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Cunha in the 73rd minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Cornalheira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Martins to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Ribeiro scored 2-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Macedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Henrique Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Raul Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play, Cornalheira's André Cunha made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raul Lisboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cornalheira's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
