In the 6thth minute of the game João Faria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portelada FC's Amadeu Aguiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 7 played minutes Portelada FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Luz. The supporters of SC Monsanto booed when Portelada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes SC Monsanto got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Barbosa. A hard shot 14 in the game by Francisco Assunção from a close distance when the talented Filipe Abreu managed to make a qualified save. SC Monsanto's players were relieved. Portelada FC's Tomás Porto was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 15th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Tomás Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Monsanto's Filipe Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Porto in the 28th minute of play. Tomás Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Filipe Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portelada FC's Tomás Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Assunção could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Filipe Abreu made a huge save. Tomás Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Filipe Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute of the match Basílio Coelho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amadeu Aguiar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The wind increased when João Faria made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Francisco Assunção who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Monsanto's Filipe Abreu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Tomás Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portelada FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Porto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armindo Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Amadeu Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Portelada FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Luz. After 62 minutes, Jorge Figueiredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portelada FC and the SC Monsanto players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorge Figueiredo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Faria in the 71st minute of play forced Portelada FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Faria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amadeu Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The SC Monsanto players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Portelada FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
