An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Resende in the 5th minute of play forced Arnal FC's goalkeeper Duarte Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cidai booed when Arnal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Setúbal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cidai's António Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Resende in the 12th minute of play. Lourenço Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Maia having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Hélder Resende put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Duarte Reis. Cidai's Hélder Resende got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Arnal FC's Gustavo Barros got a free kick in the 34th minute. A hard and well directed shot from Joel Amaro led 36 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Arnal FC's Duarte Reis became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-2. After having played for 39 minutes, Heitor Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cidai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heitor Trindade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Arnal FC booed when Cidai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasco Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Heitor Trindade made a kick off. With a little luck, Arnal FC's Duarte Reis got control of the ball when Hélder Resende tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hélder Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Reis having to interfere. Duarte Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heitor Trindade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heitor Trindade in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duarte Reis saved Arnal FC from getting behind. Vítor Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. António Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hélder Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Lourenço Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arnal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lourenço Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Arnal FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Gustavo Barros hit a great ball. Vítor Resende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. If Hélder Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Hélder Resende managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cidai's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Resende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duarte Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the game, Cidai's Hélder Resende nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duarte Reis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The Arnal FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cidai's performance. The match ended with a win for Cidai.
