In the 17th minute, one of SC Aipo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Aipo. SC Aipo:s Abel Silva showed great skill when he stopped Gabriel Delgado:s penalty. After some careless play in the SC Aipo defense, Gabriel Delgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Silva. The SC Aipo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Silva should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Calde FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Aipo:s goal. 38 minutes into the match, Calde FC's Óscar Guarda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abel Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, SC Aipo's goal looked a bit too open when Óscar Santos came free, but Abel Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Calde FC. Gabriel Delgado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abel Silva. 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Óscar Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calde FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Óscar Guarda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
