Cândido Assunção's late challenge caught a Pala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Pedroso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vasco Neves. Paradelhas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 59th minute Raul Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Manuel Antunes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Paradelhas FC's Vasco Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Machado in the 70th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raul Coelho in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vasco Neves saved Paradelhas FC from getting behind. If Manuel Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Paradelhas FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
