Chairos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Benavente the free kick. After some careless play in the Chairos defense, Henrique Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Guarda. The Chairos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Guarda should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Chairos's Miguel Moreira got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes, Benavente 's Sérgio Fontes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bruno Guarda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Benavente reached it. 26 minutes into the game, one of Chairos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 35 minutes into the game, António Guarda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chairos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Benavente the free kick. Benavente were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Chairos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sérgio Fontes took the corner. The corner led Benavente 's Emanuel Mota to fire away a dangerous shot which Bruno Guarda despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Henrique Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertino Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Albertino Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Guarda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Freitas in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cláudio Freitas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Carlos Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Henrique Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Bruno Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrique Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 played minutes Chairos got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Nascimento. Cláudio Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Guarda having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Benavente 's Cláudio Freitas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Guarda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Cláudio Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Bruno Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Chairos's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Lima came free, but Bruno Guarda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Henrique Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Guarda. Chairos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henrique Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Henrique Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Guarda having to make a save. Cláudio Freitas took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Guarda. Bruno Guarda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Henrique Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cláudio Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Benavente 's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
