Oliveira Paredes's late challenge caught a SC Caselho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. SC Levrinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, SC Levrinho's Adelino Borba threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hugo Castro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cândido Bessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute Luís Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Bessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
