After having played for 8 minutes, Bento Lisboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Mivaqueiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bento Lisboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute, Francisco Mota fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Francisco Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Afonso Mendes made a huge save. Simão Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Ferro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Tomás Melo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Escurquela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Mivaqueiro the free kick. Tomás Melo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Francisco Mota might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonso Mendes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Mota ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Bento Lisboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Mivaqueiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Lisboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the game, Escurquela's Cláudio Baptista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simão Pinto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1.

Luís Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Pinto having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Melo in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simão Pinto saved SC Mivaqueiro from getting behind. Francisco Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cláudio Baptista charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cláudio Baptista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cláudio Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Simão Pinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Melo in the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, Escurquela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Vale to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes Escurquela got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Vale. The Escurquela players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
